DR. NATESH PILLAI

Natesh has been a Professor in the Department of Statistics, Harvard University, since 2017. He was born and raised in Kerala, India, obtaining his Bachelors from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Madras. He went on to attend graduate school at Duke University, obtaining a PhD in Statistics in 2008. After Duke, Natesh was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Research in Statistical Methodology (CRiSM), University of Warwick, UK, from 2008-10. Natesh received the Young Researcher Award from the International Indian Statistical Association for research in mathematical statistics in 2018. Natesh is also on the editorial boards of leading statistical and data science journals such as the Journal of the American Statistical Association, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, and SIAM Journal of Data Science.
